1. Who we are
This website is operated jointly by two companies, which are joint controllers of the personal data collected here:

Both companies trade as H&P Furniture and Decor and jointly determine the purposes and means of processing. You may exercise your rights with either of them, at albufeira@algarve-hpdecor.com. Whichever company you contact, your request will be handled.
2. What we collect and why
We only collect data you give us directly through the forms on this site, and technical browsing data when you consent to external services.

We use your details only to answer what you asked us. We do not send newsletters, we run no email campaigns, and we do not use your contact details for unsolicited commercial approaches. If you would rather we stopped contacting you about an enquiry you made, tell us and we will.
3. Forms on this site
There are forms on the Contacts and Services pages. What you submit is sent to our mailbox by email and is not stored in a website database.
You must accept this policy before submitting any form. That box is not pre-ticked and your acceptance is recorded with the submission.
4. Cookies and external services
The site uses cookies that are essential to its operation and do not require consent. It also uses external services, which load only after you accept them in the preferences banner:
- Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager, for usage statistics.
- Google reCAPTCHA, to protect the forms against automated submissions.
- Google Maps, to show the shop locations on the contact pages.
- Fonts hosted by Google, used to display the pages.
Until you choose, none of these services loads and no request is made to Google servers. You can decline with one click, on the same screen where you accept, and change your choice at any time through the cookie preferences button. If you withdraw consent, the page reloads to unload services already running.
Declining external services also disables reCAPTCHA. The forms may then be unavailable, and you are welcome to contact us by phone or email instead.
5. Who we share your data with
We do not sell or trade your data. We share only what is necessary with those who provide services to us:
- Our website and email hosting provider, which hosts the infrastructure where the site runs and where messages are received.
- Google Ireland Limited, for statistics, maps, reCAPTCHA and fonts, where consented.
- Our accountants and legal advisers, where an enquiry leads to a contract and retention is legally required.
6. Transfers outside the European Union
Google services are contracted through Google Ireland Limited, within the European Union, but may involve transfers to the United States. Those transfers rely on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and on the applicable adequacy framework for EU to US data transfers.
7. Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection only. Access to our mailboxes is limited to those who need it in order to answer enquiries, and we apply security updates to the site and its components.
8. Your rights
You may ask us at any time for access to your data, for it to be corrected or erased, for processing to be restricted, for portability, and you may object to processing. Where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw it without affecting what was done beforehand.
To exercise any of these rights, write to albufeira@algarve-hpdecor.com. We reply within one month.
If you believe your data is not being handled properly, you may complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD, at www.cnpd.pt.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we update this page and change the date at the top. Changes affecting your rights are flagged clearly.
